One Roll: Fuji Natura 1600

The analog community took a big loss in 2018 with the discontinuation of Fuji Natura 1600. It was without a doubt my favorite, most versatile film and now there isn’t even another 1600 speed film available to fill the high speed void. I even enjoyed the high speed color film during daylight hours(accompanied with an ND filter). Most of all it was the right roll for running around the city at night time. Its as if it was made specifically for Tokyo at night. Any shutter click of a city scene came back from development feeling like personal gold. When in circulation single rolls sold for around $12 USD, Now the cheapest prices on ebay are over $50 for a single roll. I was fortunate to stock up a bit before Natura was torn from the shelves but I use it incredibly sparingly, I used only a single roll in 2018. These photos are from 2017 in Tokyo. The “One Roll” title is a little deceiving for the moment since this is actually selects from 3 different rolls. As time rolls on I’m setting out to do proper “One Day/One Roll” type projects.

Please enjoy the scenery provided by Fuji Natura through a Nikon F3/T.
